I’m posting the first 10 pages of a book that I wrote in 2015 but never got around to publishing. This was written by a 25-year old techno-optimist startup founder, living in San Francisco, envisioning a world(s) unbound by the limitations of outdated institutions.

The premise of the book is that humanity has finally found a way to colonize Mars, but the question of how we setup our institutions – political, economic, monetary, legal, healthcare – remain. Every programmer who has dealt with a sprawling code base has felt the urge to pause time and rewrite everything from scratch – this book is an exercise in how we’d refactor human civilzation if we were to restart it with the learnings & technology of the 21st century.
